How StonkDrop works, what you can win, and where it runs.

What it is

StonkDrop is a drop machine for tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain. You pay a fixed price per drop, a provably random roll picks a prize, and a real stock token is paid to your wallet on-chain. There are no accounts, no custody and no off-chain balances — your wallet is the whole relationship.

How a drop works

  1. Pay $10.00 a drop. Pay in USDG. One drop is one stock-token prize; you can pull up to 5 in a single transaction.
  2. The roll. Two independent draws: a rarity sets how much stock you win (a value band), and a ticker is drawn uniformly from the catalog, so every stock is equally likely on every drop.
  3. Reveal. The reel lands on the rarity first, then the card flips to show the amount and the ticker.
  4. Payout. The stock token for that amount is transferred to your address. Hold it, or sell it on any venue that lists the token.

In the app, without a wallet connected, the reel runs a demo in your browser with the same odds, bands and catalog as the contract. Nothing is paid and nothing is won until you connect and drop for real.

Drop rates

Rarity is the size of the prize, not which stock you get.

RarityValue bandOdds
Legendary$250.000.04%
Epic$30.00–$35.001.00%
Rare$12.00–$18.0018.97%
Uncommon$7.00–$11.0033.69%
Common$5.00–$6.0046.30%

Within a band, every cent is equally likely. Across all tiers the expected prize is $8.849 per $10.00 drop (88.49% of the price). Odds are enforced by the contract and pinned to your drop when you commit; they change only with a new configuration, never mid-drop.

These are configuration 1, live since block 82,667,637 ↗. Stats measures the machine against exactly these numbers, counting only drops committed under it.

The catalog

Every drop can land any of these. Each is equally likely. The token contracts are listed on the Stock tokens page.

Network

StonkDrop runs on Robinhood Chain mainnet, an Arbitrum Orbit L2. ETH is the gas token; USDG is the money.

Randomness & settlement

Outcomes come from the drand public randomness beacon (Quicknet). When you pull a drop the contract commits to a future beacon round; once that round is published, anyone can settle the drop with the beacon's signature. That round is 3 drand rounds — 7–9 seconds — ahead of the timestamp of the block your commit lands in, so as long as the chain's block timestamps stay within a few seconds of real time, nobody — StonkDrop included — can know a result before it is paid for, and nobody can reroll one after. A paid drop can't be lost either: its value is reserved when you commit, and if a stock token can't be delivered safely, settlement pays the exact prize value in USDG instead. Prices are fixed as of your commit too, so when a drop settles doesn't change how much stock its prize buys.

Settlement is usually run by relayers, but anyone can do it — including you, from the app, if a drop is still waiting once its round is published. The outcome doesn't wait for them: it follows from the beacon alone, so the app starts the reveal as soon as the round is published, about 9 seconds after your commit. How each prize is paid, in stock or in USDG, is final once its settlement lands on-chain. Leaving the page changes nothing: the prize is yours from the commit, and lands in your wallet when the drop settles.

How the draw is locked and how to check a drop from its transactions is on the Fairness page. The full contract vocabulary and the settlement lifecycle are documented here: Glossary · Settlement lifecycle

Verify payouts

Every settled drop emits an event with its rarity, exact prize value, stock and the amount paid. The Stats page recomputes the whole history from those events: rarity share against the published odds, ticker share, realized payout rate, treasury float, and a transaction link for every drop. It reads the chain directly, so what it shows is what any node would show.

That's the whole game. The odds on this page are the ones you play.
